Boxing is one of the most thrilling sports to watch. Unlike many other completive sports, in boxing you can’t even know how much a fight is going to last. Every since the early days of boxing people have been placing wagers on fights and that hasn’t changed. Betting on boxing allows boxing fans to make boxing matches even more thrilling and exciting, not the mention the opportunity to win large amounts of money. Earning money online is also possible if you’re playing casino games. The best part is that you can start playing without risking any of your own money, if you use a casino bonus. Check out these CRAB exclusive bonuses and who knows, you might get quite lucky.

Types of Bets
There are many possible bets which can be placed on a boxing match.

- A fight outright bet is a bet on which boxer will be the official winner of the match, regardless of how he wins.

- The fight outcome bet is a bet not only on which boxer will win the match, but also on how will he win, whether in rounds or after a decision. This bet is a win only if both parts of it, i.e. the name of the winner and the outcome are predicted correctly.

- Victory method is a bet that is very similar to the outcome bet, but here the punter has to be more specific and predict exactly how a boxer will win, whether by a knockout, technical knockout, unanimous decision, etc.

- Punters can also bet on the number of rounds that a fight will feature and the offered options might very. It is also possible to bet whether there will be an odd or an even number or rounds, or if the fight will be ended during the first or the last 6 rounds.

- Other types of bets are also available, depending on the boxing event in question and the policy of the bookmaker.

Important Fights this Year
2016 has been a very eventful year when it comes to boxing. We have the Olympic Games in Rio and there are some quite exciting boxing matches ahead of us.

Golovkin vs. Brook
On the 10th of September, Gennady Golovkin will face Kell Brook in London. The winner will be crowned as the WBC, WBA, IBF and IBO Middleweight champion. There is a lot at stake here and this fight already draws a lot of attention. Bookies already offer odds on the most important markets for this match. Golovkin is an obvious favourite and the odds for him to win this match are set at 1/6, although some bookies give even smaller odds like 1/7 or 1/8. The odds for his opponent to win vary from 4/1 to 5/1. The odds for a draw are set at 28/1 with most bookies.

Alvarez vs. Smith
One week after the clash between Golovin and Brook, Saul Alvarez will fight Liam Smith for the WBO Super Welterweight title. Here Alvarez is more than a clear favourite and the odds for him are 1/8, with some bookies offering even lower odds at 1/10 or 12/1. The odds for Smith are in the range between 5/1 and 13/2. The probability of a draw is again set at 28/1.

Fury vs. Klitschko
Probably the biggest fight in 2016 will be the second fight between Tyson Fury, nicknamed Gypsy King due to his Irish Traveller origin and Ukrainian Wladimir Klitschko. The winner will be named the IBO, WBO, WBA (Super), The Ring and Lineal Heavyweight champion. The fight will be held in Fury’s hometown Manchester. It was postponed once, but we know now that it will take place on the 29th of October. There rarely is a pair of boxers that are so evenly matched as these two. Most bookies give equal odds of 10/11 to both fighters. The odds for a draw range from 18/1 up to 33/1.

Ward vs. Kovalev
Almost a month later than the fight between Fury and Klitschko, Sergey Kovalev will meet Andre Ward. The fight will take place in Las Vegas and the winner will be named WBO, WBA and IBF Light Heavyweight champion. Ward is the favourite here and the odds for him winning are set at 8/11, whereas the odds for Kovalev are 11/8.
